Your first practice

We start with a warm-up, then practice throwing and catching. You'll get to try hitting, and we finish with a small game. The coaches adapt to your level — take it easy!

Common questions

Is it too late to start baseball as an adult?

No! We have plenty of players who started as adults and love it. Baseball is a sport you can learn at any age — it's about having fun and developing at your own pace.

How long does it take to learn the basics?

Most people feel comfortable with the basics after 3–4 practices. But baseball has enormous depth — you're always learning something new!

What if I'm not in great shape?

Baseball works for all fitness levels. The game has natural breaks and you build up conditioning gradually. The most important thing is that you have fun!

Where do I find a baseball club near me?

Do I need to buy a glove before my first practice?

No. Most clubs lend gloves to beginners for free — you shouldn't buy one until you know you'll keep playing. When you're ready for your own glove, see our baseball glove guide with recommendations from 800 kr and up.

What are the baseball terms in Norwegian?

Pitcher is 'kaster,' batter is 'slagmann,' bat is 'balltre,' home run is 'hjemmeløp.' In practice we mostly use the English words. See the full baseball glossary with over 70 terms translated into Norwegian.
